You MUST Practice Patience and Be Intentional

blog keto for women Aug 30, 2019

Let’s face it, patience is hard and instant gratification is addicting...especially in today’s society.

With the technology and resources we have access to these days, it’s becoming harder and harder to remember what ‘being patient’ actually feels like.

Don’t want to wait in line at Starbucks? Order ahead on the mobile app - your coffee will be waiting for you!

No time to pick up your takeout from the Mexican restaurant around the corner? No worries, UberEats has you covered!

And don’t get me started with Amazon Prime…

In today’s world, we literally have instant access to pretty much anything we desire. Is this a bad thing? No...

But when you really think about it, is it causing us to become ‘desensitized’ to the ability to practice patience? Probably.

So what does this have to do with ‘being intentional’?

Well, we all know that seeing legitimate progress when it comes to losing body fat, gaining strength, changing our habits, improving mindset, etc. takes time.

When we implement specific strategies to work towards making progress in these areas, we MUST understand that it takes time and patience for these strategies to actually start working.

As someone who loves to experiment with new things, I found myself continuously changing different aspects of my diet and exercise plans without making progress towards what I was really trying to achieve.

I wasn’t patient with the strategies I was implementing, I didn’t have a plan, and I wasn’t focused on the long-term goal.

When you want to make legitimate progress, you must be patient and intentional about the strategies you’re implementing and stop changing things just because you’re not seeing immediate results.

As my good friend Ryan Lowery says, “Your body isn’t Amazon Prime...it’s not going to show up in two days.”

In the Keto For Women Program, we will be utilizing specific strategies such as calorie cycling, protein-sparing modified fasting, carb-ups, and more.

However, I’m not just going to throw all of these at you at once. Over the course of the program, we will begin to implement these different strategies in a very strategic and intentional way and you will learn exactly how to use them appropriately to achieve your long-term goals.
