Muscle Science for Women app

1. Who we are

RG Fitness LLC ("we" or "us") runs the Muscle Science for Women app. This policy explains what we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, who helps us run the app, and the choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, which we use to send your 6-digit sign-in codes and to find your membership. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the email Apple shares with us, which may be a private relay address.
  • Your membership: whether you have an active Muscle Science for Women membership, which the app checks with Kajabi, the platform you joined through, using your email.
  • What you tell us when you set up: your first name, your training days, split and units, and, if you choose to share them, your birthday, height and weight, how long you've been lifting, your main goal, your life stage and how you heard about the app. You can skip your birthday and your height and weight, and life stage includes "I'd rather not say".
  • Your training: the workouts you start and finish, the sets you log (weight, reps and effort), the exercises you swap, the days you move workouts to, and your notes.
  • Photos you add: setup photos you attach to an exercise. We remove the location from each photo before it is uploaded.
  • When you agreed: the date and time you accepted the terms of use and the exercise disclaimer and confirmed you are 18 or older.
  • How the app is used: events such as opening the app, starting a workout or logging a set. These are linked to a random member ID, never to your name or email, and never include your birthday, height, weight or life stage.
  • Crash reports: if the app crashes, a report about the error and your device (such as the phone model and system version) so we can fix it. Crash reports don't include your name, email or anything you've typed.
  • Notifications: if you allow notifications, a device token so we can send the reminders you've turned on.

3. How we use it

To sign you in and check your membership, to run your program, calendar, history and exercise library, to show your progress, to fix problems and improve the app, to reply when you contact us, and to keep the app and its community safe. We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. Who helps us run the app

These companies handle information for us only to provide their service:

  • Supabase: our database, sign-in and photo storage.
  • Resend: sends your sign-in codes by email.
  • Kajabi: where you joined and manage your membership; the app checks your membership there.
  • Mux: streams the exercise videos.
  • PostHog: usage events.
  • Sentry: crash reports.
  • Apple: if you use Sign in with Apple or allow notifications.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members or others.

5. Community

If the app lets you post to other members, what you post is visible to them. Your training, notes, photos and setup answers stay private to you and the MSW team unless a feature clearly says otherwise.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account in the Profile tab, we delete your account, your setup answers, workouts, sets, notes, photos and the rest of your training data. We keep a record of your membership purchase under your purchase email, so it can be found again if you come back, and Kajabi keeps its own records of your purchase. Usage events and crash reports are kept by PostHog and Sentry for a limited time and are not linked to your name or email. Backups are deleted on a rolling schedule.

7. Your choices

You can see and change much of your information in the app, skip the optional setup questions, turn notifications off in your phone's settings, and delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. You can also email [email protected] to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights, and we will honor them as the law requires.

8. Security

Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored so that each member can only read her own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

9. Age

The app is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn we have, we delete it.

10. Where your information is stored

The companies that help us run the app store information in the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information is processed there.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change applies. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
